Royal Balloon Rwanda operates two hot air balloons that have a carrying capacity of 4 to 6 passengers each. This treat offers nature lovers breathtaking aerial views of the big 5 such as the rhinos, buffalos, leopards, lions, and elephants from altitudes of 100 to 1000 meters over the spectacular savannah terrain.

Its only 5 minutes from  southern park entrance- Kaitaba, requiring any adventurer to be there by 5:15 am (flexible based on sunrise time) take a cup of tea, receive instructions while watching the hot air balloon inflation and further preparations, and having a chance to photos of the whole procedure.

 Enjoy the serenity of Akagera National Park’s stunning landscapes, capitalize on the sunrise over Lake Ihema, and spot various animals from above. Hot Air Balloon Safaris in Akagera Rwanda have different prices and its always important to know the fees before the activity. 450$ for foreign non residents, 350 for diplomats and foreign residents, 250 for the Rwandese and east African community. 

Children aged 6 to 12 years can easily join the hot air balloon safari for half price. This takes 45 to 1 hour as you are enjoying the shady vegetation and wildlife of beautiful Akagera national park.
