A magical touch within The Rich Lands in Flora and Fauna
Day 1: Arrival -City tour | Downtown market visit
Depending on your arrival time, you will have a chance to explore the clean city of Kigali, drive downtown, and see how the locals live in the organized chaos, you will have a great time for photos, and later after moving back to your accommodation. Day 2: Cooking experience | Genocide memorial visit and kimironko market
Have yourself breakfast and then drive to the Nyamirambo Women's Center for a cooking experience, the experience takes 3-4 hours as you are learning how to cook local dishes, after visiting the genocide memorial and reading about the massacre of the Hutu and Tutsi, you will later on visit the biggest market in the city as you call it a day, this will be a great experience as you can move around see the local foods and daily hustles of the locals. Day 3: Transfer to Kivu Lake belt | Afternoon napoleon island visit
Wake up so early in the morning have yourself breakfast and transfer to lake kivu. After lunch visit Napoleon Island which is a famous area rich in flora and fauna, the island is well known for its large numbers of bats, birds, and monkeys, it’s among the tallest areas where you can hike to the top and slope back, drive to your next destination which cost a whole day experience. Day 4: Coffee Cooperative | Optional Congo Nile trail
Cruise to the coffee cooperative center for a great history and coffee experience, this visit is full of great history and great techniques as you learn how coffee is locally produced and planted till harvest time. Afterward, you will have a hot lunch and drive to your next hotel and have a relaxed evening. However, you will have an option of trekking through the Congo Nile trail, this is a beautiful trail that links Lake Kivu and Nyungwe forest with great viewpoints of the Congo and Rwandan scenery, tea gardens, and lovely history, advised for only those who have the energy to trek. Day 5: Canoe ride and Transfer to Uganda-Bwindi via Cyanika border
Have yourself great time peddling in the local canoe, for about 1 and a half hours on Lake Burera as you enjoy the calmness and greenery along the lake with great history before exiting the country. Your lunch will be packed to catch up with time, You will then drive to the Cyanika border as you are driving to Bwindi Forest. This will be a different country and a different experience which will also be more scenic. Note: based on time you will have to visit the Dian Fossey Museum. Day 6: Gorilla trekking and Batwa experience
It’s a great day to meet the apes, have an early meal, and drive to your briefing grounds, the general briefing starts at 8 and after you are distributed to gorilla families, it’s to note that the activity takes 40 minutes to 7 hours and 1 good hour of viewing. All trekkers are required to have face masks, good hiking shoes, and pants, sunhats, rain jackets, packed lunch, and insect repellants. Depending on your return time, visit the community of the former forest people, they will share great stories and dances that will spice up your 10-day Rwanda Uganda Culture And Primate Safari after the gorilla experience. Day 7-8: Transfer to queen| game drive | Kazinga boat ride
Drive via Bwindi Park and the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth, this will give you a chance to enjoy the country’s beauty with chances of spotting primates like blue monkeys, black and white colobuses, mammals in the kigezi game reserve like the elephants, topis, kobs, lots of birds, buffaloes and at times lions and leopards with a massive diverse. The next day have a morning game drive in search of lions, leopards, elephants, and more wildlife and birds, have yourself a boat ride in the after-lunch hours after having a meal which takes 2-3 hours, and relax at the lodge. Day 9: Tea plantation visit | Transfer to Lake Mburo Park | Evening Game Drive
After Tea plantation visit, transfer to Lake Mburo Park Drive to Mburo Park the home of impalas and zebras, giraffes, elands, and much more. You will have a tea experience stop, participate in the picking, and have good photos as you are proceeding to your next destination. You will have either a hot lunch or a packed depending on the pace and time of the day. Upon arrival , proceed for an afternoon game ride which will be the highlighter of what to expect the next day. Day 10: Milking experience | Morning nature walk | Transfer to Entebbe airport via the equator
On this day, have yourself well immersed in the wild as you walk close to the wildlife with an armed ranger, this is the only park that gives you this up-close and rich information. Walk to the giraffes, zebras, elands, and impalas, learn and get to know more about botany, and listen and watch the birds since you will be in the whispers of the wild. You will also visit the kraal participate in the milking and learn much more about the long-horned cattle. After the activity drive to Entebbe, stop at the equator, visit gift shops, take photos, and also get to know the difference between the northern and southern hemispheres, you will have a snack here and proceed to the airport. And this will mark the end of the thrilling 10 day Rwanda Uganda culture and primate safari.
