Day 1: Shoebill tracking |optional Kampala city tour.
Exploring mabamba swamp for the shoebill is worth the visit. keenly enjoy the beauty of this marshy swamp located on the fringes of Lake Victoria while on local motorised boats. The activity takes 2 to 3 hours and after return to your hotel as you prepare for the next days adventure. There's also an option of visiting the Kampala city or Entebbe town, in areas like the botanical gardens famous for birders and a conducive walk, local markets, shopping malls, and local restaurants. Day 2: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park | Evening Game Drive.
Have a morning breakfast, and then start your journey to the west via the vast landscapes of central Uganda, with a brief equator stop in Kayabwe for photo and video moments. Push further west and witness different terrain and plantations of animals like the unique Ankole long-horned cattle; arrive at lunchtime at the lodge. The lodge is strategically located on a rock outcrop at the northern border of the park with a beautiful view of the wilderness. After the sumptuous meal, go for an evening game drive, with a chance to see leopards, rare elands, zebras, topis impalas, and lots of bird species. Day 3: Morning Nature Walk and Transfer to Bwindi National Park.
Have an early nature walk as you get closer to the animals while on foot. You are escorted by a ranger guide who will give you thorough nature explanations, encounter giraffes, zebras, impalas, topis, and lots of birds. After your wonder nature walk, and leave for the magical land of Bwindi. Enjoy the cascading landscapes, and pure green vegetation with endless tea plantations, via the cool, breathe the Bwindi itself. The lodge that you will have your two nights is just meters from Bwindi forest, pleasing and enriched with local women making crafts as empowerment for steady progress in the community. Day 4: Gorilla Trekking
Wake up early enough have a morning meal, then go for the long waited activity. The gorilla trekking usually starts at 8:00 am when you are assigned a gorilla group, with other 7-8 trekkers. Your journey is esteemed by two armed rangers and one lead guide for safety in the wilderness since the forest has forest elephants. It's to scare shoot, just to scare the big mammals so that the activity proceeds. The forest has thick shrubs and dumps floors that require good hiking shoes, rain jackets, waterproof backpacks, long trousers, insect repellents, and gloves. Body fitness is required however other means are always provided as a special request; ask to stop since walking is at your own pace. The trek can be short, medium, or long. And that’s 30 minutes to 7 hours. Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park.
Wake up lazily and have your breakfast, later on, have a farewell to the classic Bwindi forest and head to the vast Savannah landscapes of Queen Elizabeth national park. The drive takes about 4 hours but you will have a brief game drive in the southern sector of the park Ishaha, in search of the tree-climbing lions. Ishasha sector is just a stone's throw away from the Congo border; this gives a chance to spot the massive migrants from the Congo basin like the humongous Savannah elephants, leopards, and many others. Day 6: Morning Game Drive | Afternoon Boat Cruise | Transfer to Kibale national park.
wake up early morning and drive to Kasenyi grounds to search for more wildlife like the elephants, lions, leopards. The park is also a home to Uganda Kobs, water bucks, about 600 bird species and the lush vegetation beautifying this albertine stretch. After the game search, leave for Kibale forest park the primate capital. This 2-3 hour drive is beautified by the crater lakes and the chain of the Rwenzori mountains.
Day 7: Chimpanzee Trekking and Optional Community Visit
Wake up early morning and have breakfast and by 7 am set off to the briefing grounds. After the general briefing you are allocated into different groups led by ranger a guide, shortly the tour to the chimpanzees commences. Kibale forest stands to be the primate capital of the world with over 1500 chimpanzees under the park’s equatorial rainforest canopy and other 12 primate species such as the black & white colobus, blue monkey, olive baboon, red-tailed monkey, and grey-cheeked mangabey. during the course of the trek, the ranger guide, helps you to listen and follow all the possible signs this costs you 2-6 hours depending on where the chimpanzees are located. It takes you one-hour of viewing before you exit the jungle and have the final graduation. You will have an option of visiting the community for interactions and learning a lot on their way of life.
Day 8: Transfer to Entebbe Airport
Enjoy your last adventure breakfast and drive through the gorgeous Fort Portal city just at the fringes of the Rwenzori Mountains to Entebbe through the capital of entertainment Kampala.
