Itinerary Details

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali Rwanda and transfer to your hotel

Our driver guide will be gladly happy to meet you from the airport on your arrival and transfers you to the hotel.A short briefing about this combined primate Safari, acquiring all the necessities you need to use while on the safari and more will be done by our guide. Day 2: Kigali City Tour and Transfer To The Volcanoes

Have a short city tour where you have a chance to visit the famous Kigali genocide memorial centre a great history site for the 1994 Rwanda genocide wars. Visit the local markets such as Kimironko market which displays local materials and food sold on a daily basis, visit art and galley centers and then have a local meal in one of the restaurant. Transfer to Volcanoes National Park one of a few protected areas and home to the rare endangered mountain gorillas in the world. Arrive and head to the lodge after a 3-4 hour drive for leisure and dinner. Meals and Accommodation: Da Vinci Gorilla Lodge

Day 3: Gorilla trekking and Iby’iwachu cultural centre

Our safari guide driver will meet you at the restaurant for breakfast and then drive to the briefing point. Here, meet the park guide and wardens ready to take you through a quick exercise that will highlight the gorilla behaviours, rules and regulations to follow while in the forest such as don't use the flash light cameras, crosschecking the gorilla trekking permits, joking a group of fellow tourists to trek with, hiring Porters to assist you in carrying extra luggage and more. The park guide, potters and escorts will be part of the team to go with in the forest to search for this beautiful creature. While on this trail, expect to meet a lot such as beautiful birds, varvet monkeys, colobus monkeys, baboons and more. Have a graceful time exploring the beautiful time while in the presence of the gentle giants, playing, searching for food, breastfeeding, grooming and much more. After the experience, head back to the lodge for lunch and then head to Iby’iwachu cultural village for a community experience. During this tour encounter the Rwandese culture through music and dances, storytelling, tasting on the local dishes and beverages and more. Later on, head back to the lodge | Da Vinci Gorilla Lodge

Day 4: Golden monkey trekking and transfer to Bwindi NP

Breakfast will be served and this will be followed by a drive to the park offices ready to trek with the golden monkeys one of the rare primate species. Briefing will commence where you be told about the use of flash light while taking photos since these primates enjoy the light. Begin the search with the help of the park guide as you will spend an hour in the presence of golden monkeys. Notice that some of them have short tails as they are cut off by tree branches since they are so playful. After, head to Bwindi National Park a renowned protected area homing almost half of the remaining mountain gorilla population. The guide driver will help you at the border cross point to acquire all the necessary documents required by the immigration office. Arrive and head to the lodge and this will be the end of the day. Day 5: Bwindi Gorilla trekking and Batwa tour

Like in Volcanoes National Park, trek to the gorillas in this park only that the terrain and the number of gorilla individuals in a family will be different. Also, spend an hour in the presence of these gorillas and this will create everlasting memories. After, head back to the lodge for dinner followed by the community tour of the Batwa people. This tour will introduce you to storytelling by elders, firemaking, music and dances and more. Support the locals by buying some of their handmade crafts. Return to the lodge for dinner. Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park.

This will be a day of transferring from Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth national park using the Ishasha sector route. In the Ishasha sector which is part of Queen Elizabeth national park, track the rare tree-climbing lions. Other animals that are spotted on this day are Uganda kobs, elephants, buffalo, warthogs, leopards, waterbucks and more. Basing on your pace as advised by your driver guide, you will either have packed lunch or hot lunch enroute. Head to the booked lodge for dinner and a nap. Day 7: Morning game drive and Kazinga boat cruise

Have a morning game drive in the park where you encounter different animals such as lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, warthogs, bushbucks, warthogs and more. The game drive lasts for about 4-6 hours including several stopovers for game viewing and other encounters. Later on after lunch, head for an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. Here there is a lot to see such as schools of hippos, crocodiles, buffalos, elephants, warthogs, and birds like pelicans, jacanas, fish eagles, kingfishers and more. Day 8: Kyambura Gorge Nature Walk and Transfer To Kibale Forest

wake up early enough for your breakfast and after drive to the valley of apes Kyambura gorge. It's a permanent rain forest between the savannah harbouring chimpanzees , red-tailed monkeys, black and white monkeys, birds like fish eagles, vultures, hamerkops, wildlife like the permanent residents the hippos due to the permanent river that powers its waters to swampy lake George. The gorge is about 11.5 kms long, 100m deep, 1.5 km wide with stunning scenery. after the walk , head back to the lodge for refreshening and drive to Kibale National park passing through the crater lakes of ndali-Kasenda with the twin lakes of Nyinambuga and Kifuruka. Kibale National park is the primate capital of the world since it has 13 primates including the chimpanzees and our human close relatives. Arrive and leisure at the lodge. Day 9: Chimpanzee trekking and Isunga Cultural Community walk

Wake up ready to trek the chimpanzees in Kibale forest after breakfast and this begun with briefing at Kanyanchu visitor center. This exercise is very important since you get used to the rules and regulations to follow while in the forest, trekking materials and requirements, the assignment of the park guide ranger and more. Begin the search while spotting varvet monkeys, colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, different bird calls and more others. Spend an hour in the presence of these primates recording memories by taking photos. After the experience, head to the lodge for lunch followed by a community walk in Isunga village where crater lakes, coffee and tea plantations will be explored. Learn about the daily life of the locals and you can support them by buying some of the handmade crafts. Head back to the lodge for dinner.

Day 10: Transfer to Entebbe for departure

Depending on your departure flight, take part in any optional activity and then transfer back to Kampala with a great journey driving through tea plantations for photos. Arrive at Entebbe international Airport and board a departure flight. Note: This last can also be eased by an inbound flight from kasese which is 2 hours away from Kibale forest. This might be easy for those who can't mange the 5-6 hour drive , our team is ready tailor this adventure with you.
